DEVELOPMENT · CONSTRUCTION · COMMUNITY
From raw forest to luxury retreats. From urban infill to stronger communities.
Discover our capabilities ↓MORE THAN A FINISHED BUILDING
REKJ Builders brings a developer’s perspective to the entire construction journey. We understand the decisions that connect a site, a construction budget, a design, and the people who will ultimately use the space.
Our experience spans modern spec homes, multi-unit infill, luxury cabins, major renovations, and public and nonprofit housing programs. Across that range, the work demands the same discipline: plan carefully, coordinate the trades, solve the site challenges, and carry the details through to completion.
THE WORK BEHIND SPEC BUILDING
A successful spec project connects the development decisions to the construction decisions. Each phase affects the one that follows.
Evaluate the opportunity before committing to a building program.
Shape a home that fits its site, market, and construction budget.
Translate the vision into an executable construction plan.
Coordinate the work from the ground up.
Bring architectural character into the spaces people live in.
Carry the project through the final stretch.

CASE STUDY / BROKEN BOW, OKLAHOMA
Six luxury cabins. Six wooded, approximately one-acre lots. Twelve months from raw forest to furnished, guest-ready homes.
This development called for far more than building six houses. Remote jobsite logistics, material deliveries, crew accommodation, site work, and simultaneous construction had to come together in a wooded setting. REKJ coordinated the work through the structural shell, interiors, and the details that make a vacation home feel complete.
The finished cabins pair vaulted wood ceilings, generous gathering spaces, and distinctive finishes with the natural setting. It is a clear example of our ability to turn a site into a complete development.

CASE STUDY / MUNGER AVENUE, DALLAS
The Munger Avenue duplex development shows what happens when a builder thinks beyond a single front door. A coordinated collection of new residences changed the character of an entire city block.
Urban infill brings a different set of demands: constrained sites, neighboring properties, access, trade sequencing, and the need to deliver a cohesive street presence. The development combined modern residential design with the practical work of bringing multiple homes to completion in an established Dallas neighborhood.
Open interiors, contemporary circulation, and rooftop outdoor spaces demonstrate the connection between the development vision and the way the finished homes live.

CASE STUDY / DELANO AVENUE, DALLAS
Near downtown Dallas, REKJ delivered a five-unit townhome infill development that brought new housing to an established urban setting.
A multi-unit project requires coordination at two scales: the overall site and every individual residence. Construction access, building sequencing, repeated systems, and finish consistency all have to work together. The result is a contemporary vertical development with distinct homes and a unified architectural identity.
Delano illustrates our experience delivering density through infill construction, while maintaining attention to the interior spaces and exterior details buyers experience every day.
A STRONGER HOME. A STRONGER COMMUNITY.
Our institutional work is an essential part of the REKJ story. The same construction knowledge used to create new homes also helps preserve existing homes and support community housing initiatives.
JUBILEE PARK & COMMUNITY CENTER
REKJ contributes construction and home-improvement experience to Jubilee Park & Community Center initiatives. This work connects practical building services to the organization’s broader commitment to the people and homes in its community.
Our contribution is hands-on: bringing repair, rehabilitation, coordination, and project execution to work that matters at the household and neighborhood level.
CITY OF DALLAS
REKJ’s City of Dallas home-repair experience includes more than $2 million in work performed and over 100 City home-repair projects since 2020, across programs that address essential housing needs.
Experience includes Dallas Tomorrow Fund prime contracting, HIPP rehabilitation, and ARPA housing rehabilitation. Scopes span roofing, foundations, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, accessibility, occupied-home repairs, inspections, and closeout.
Rehabilitation preserves existing housing. Durable repairs, attention to the building enclosure, and improvements to essential systems can extend a home’s useful life and support safer, more functional living. That is the practical contribution our construction work makes to housing sustainability.
